About this cut
Beef steak, crumbed, so your kitchen stays clean and dinner is fifteen minutes away. It is the schnitzel steak: good with chips and salad, in a roll with coleslaw, or under a fried egg. Kids eat it without an argument. Made in the shop from our grass-fed Angus beef, sourced from Cowra in the Central West of NSW.
Shallow-fry in oil that is already hot. Put it into warm oil and the crumb drinks it up and goes heavy. Three or four minutes a side depending on thickness, until the crumb is golden and the meat is cooked through. Drain it on a rack, not on paper, if you want the crumb to stay crisp. A squeeze of lemon and it is a schnitzel.
Allergens: ask at the counter before you buy.
Best used for
Pan frying, schnitzel-style meals, mash and gravy, steak sandwiches.
