About this cut
Hot Honey Habanero sausages from our display case, sold by weight. Cook them on a moderate heat and turn them often until they reach 75°C right through.
Habanero is a hot chilli, so expect real heat under the sweet honey. Honey browns fast, so keep the heat moderate and turn them often, or the outside burns before the centre is cooked. Serve them in a bun with slaw, or sliced over rice with a yoghurt sauce to cool them down. For children, or anyone who does not like heat, pick a milder sausage.
Keeping: about two days in the fridge. Freeze it the day you buy it if you will not get to it; frozen, it is best inside two or three months.
Gluten free.
Best used for
BBQ, burger buns, hot dogs.
